Wonder Wednesdays – $65

Join outdoor educator Crystal at End of the Road Homestead for this small group outdoor immersion experience. Wonder Wednesdays are an opportunity for your child to be guided through our beautiful, healing outdoor site by an experienced educator in a group that has a maximum of five students.

Participants will learn how to use the serenity of the outdoors to help them regulate emotions, form meaningful friendships and connect with the natural world through a series of storytelling play, ethical foraging and medicinal homeopathy along with whole-body grounding exercises and journaling.

Rekindle the magic of authentic living while building healthy mental health strategies among the cedar trees and bubbling creeks.

This program is geared toward participants ages 7 -12. If you feel your child outside of these ages would benefit from attending, please contact us.

Small Worlds Boundary Layer Camp – $250 per week

Have you ever walked along the beach or in the forest and felt something powerful stir inside you? Have you noticed how nature can tell a story without using any words at all?

In this full-week camp led by outdoor educator Crystal, participants will explore the concept of how to observe the smallest worlds in nature in both beach and forest settings by learning to quiet the heart and mind in order to see the unseen.

Along the way, participants will learn about the way they see the world, what draws them to a space, how our smallest ecosystems sustain much larger life and why we need to understand them.

This camp is a dual location experience with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in the forest and Thursday, Friday at the beach/Under the Arch Classroom.

Badge camp – Bird Study – $250 per week

Join outdoor educator Crystal for a week of feathered fun and expand your knowledge of the local wild bird species while earning your very own Bird Study Badge! Participants will spend time observing and identifying birds, engaging in games, discovering bird feeding habitats, creating a field study notebook and learning about the role birds play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

Badge camp – Wood Carving – $250 per week – ALMOST FULL!

Join outdoor educator Crystal for a week of wood carving skill building and earn your very own Wood Carving Badge! Participants will learn to understand and identify potential hazards and what should be done to prevent and respond to them, collect and label different wood species while learning the qualities of each, proper care and use of wood carving tools and of course, carve some fun projects!

Prerequisite for this camp: Participants must have prior knowledge of basic knife handling and safety. Tools are provided for this camp.

Badge camp – Plant Identification – $250 per week

Join outdoor educator Crystal for a week of plant study in our gorgeous Pacific Northwest forests and expand your knowledge of local flora while earning your very own Plant Identification Badge! Participants will learn about the importance of the relationship between plants and animals as well as collect, sketch and label seeds and leaves of various plants using ethical foraging techniques to create a field study notebook.

Tuesdays at The End of the Road Homestead – $60

Our classic outdoor session program led by Crystal and Saul for youth ages 5-10 is held every Tuesday at The End of the Road Homestead on Pratt Road.

This all-day nature immersion session is an opportunity for participants to learn who they are in the world of the wild. Covering skills from plant identification and observation journaling to ropework and basic survival skills in emergency situations. Participants will build their knowledge through hands-on activities in real-time Pacific Northwest weather conditions.

Our small group environment fosters opportunities for friendships, personal growth, acceptable risk assessment and true connection to the land.

Please note that while this program includes a multitude of bushcraft skills, it does not include knife skills or use. If you would like a program that encompasses knife skills though, you’re in luck! We’ve got that here

Bushcraft Fridays with Saul – $60

Would your child know what to do in an outdoor survival situation? If not, this course is perfect for you!

Join us at Copley Ridge to learn a variety of respective survival techniques such as knife handling, shelter building, bushcraft, directional awareness, edible plant identification (including sustainable methods of harvesting) and much more!

Participants in these sessions require their own knife. We recommend Mora Knives.

Forest Adventures with Pip and Pine – Full for the year

Join twins Pip and Pine in the woods as they go on wild adventures full of the ups and downs of a free-range childhood in the woodland where their treehouse is!

Learn alongside them as they discover medicinal plants, the roles of forest animals in the ecosystem, the dangers of wild places, how to love the land that graciously gives them a natural playground and so much more!

Intertwined in the storytelling are lessons on kindness, problem-solving, friendship, accepting responsibility and nature reciprocity. Rain or shine, it doesn’t matter to Pip and Pine!
