Nestled amidst the lush, verdant expanse of Vancouver Island’s forests, our summer camp offers an enriching outdoor experience for children aged 8 to 12. Designed to foster a deep appreciation for nature, our program is a blend of adventure, education, and personal growth, set against the backdrop of some of Canada’s most breathtaking landscapes.
Our campers embark on daily trail hikes that not only immerse them in the beauty of the natural world but also teach them vital outdoor skills. Under the guidance of our experienced staff, they learn to navigate using cardinal directions, ensuring they feel confident and oriented in the wilderness. These hikes are not just walks in the woods; they are lessons in stamina and perseverance. Each step is an opportunity to push boundaries and discover what lies beyond the next ridge.
Safety is our paramount concern. We equip every camper with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe in the outdoors, from basic first aid to recognizing and avoiding hazards native to Vancouver Island’s forests. Our staff are trained professionals, dedicated to providing a secure, supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.

Our campers are introduced to the principles of ethical foraging, learning to identify and harvest wild plants without harming the ecosystem. Guided by expert foragers and naturalists they discover how to spot edible plants and understand their role within their habitats. This hands-on approach not only nurtures a sense of stewardship towards nature but also instills a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of life.
Alongside practical skills, our camp dives into the rich tapestry of folklore surrounding local flora. Through storytelling and creative activities, children explore the myths and legends that have sprouted around plants for centuries, enriching their experience with a cultural and historical perspective. This blend of knowledge and imagination ignites a curiosity that extends beyond the camp, inspiring a lifelong fascination with the natural world.
The journey into herbalism introduces campers to the basics of using plants for simple, natural remedies. Our Forest Voyagers offers a magical introduction to the wonders of the natural world for children aged 5 to 8.

Campers embark on daily explorations that bring them face-to-face with the beauty and mysteries of the environment.
